TANK and TANKLESS HOT WATER CIRCULATOR

EASY 1 - 2 - 3 INSTALL

(Connect sinks HW hoses to E + F and CW hoses to G + H)

We identified the industries need for greener-efficient hot water circulators with install flexibility and control customization capable of satisfying even complex lifestyles. Placing efficiency and comfort first, and foremost combined with over 20 years experience engineering hot water circulators, we achieved our goals. In addition to providing consumers with twice the convenience of other hot water circulators our proprietary controller offers "on-the-fly" comfort temperature optimization. Consumers wanting hotter hot water instantly out their taps simply turn the temperature dial clockwise or counter clockwise to lower the temperature. After only a few adjustments, homeowners will have optimized their hot water system's comfort and readiness. Redytemp homeowners benefit from an optimized hot water lifestyle with unmatched comfort, convenience and water savings.

HEAD PRESSURE is a pump's ability to move a 1" column of water vertically upwards in a pipe. This being said a TL4000 system would be inadequate in pushing water up to a third floor since it's rated to 16' of head. The TL5000 system would be the better fit.

OPEN LOOP SYSTEM / MODEL DESIGNATOR "N"

COLD LINE USED AS RETURN

Homes with  NO DEDICATED hot water return line OPEN-LOOP systems use Cold Water line as return line

     TL4000N Small - Med size home Flow 1-14 gpm / 16' head

TL5000N Large size home Flow 1-28 gpm / 30' head

INSTALL TYPE         LOCATION

COMMON        Pump UNDER SINK connect as follows:

E and F - hot supply and hot faucet (interchangeable / either one)

H and G - cold supply or cold faucet (interchangeable / either one)

ALTERNATE      Pump AT WATER HEATER or ON HW LINE REQUIRES ASSEMBLING (SWING CHECK VALVE, TEMP PROBE and SOLENOID)

Requires running 5 wires (2 = temp probe, 3 = solenoid 18 AWG) from control box to by-pass assembly connect wires to temperature probe and solenoid valve wires.

Using appropriate fittings In series connect (1) check valve, temperature probe and solenoid valve, install between hot and cold pipes anywhere near end of line.

The above illustrates that the pump can be placed most anywhere on the hot water line.  Beneficial for homes having easy access to plumbing lines in a basement, crawlspace, attic, etc.  Placing the by-pass valve assembly near the last hot water load on the loop ensures all loads on the loop are covered.  This configuration is often a better choice for pedestal sinks or when space limits prevent a under sink installation.

CLOSED LOOP SYSTEM / MODEL DESIGNATOR "D"

DEDICATED HOT WATER LINE (EXISTING HOT WATER LOOP)

Homes with  DEDICATED hot water return line CLOSED-LOOP systems use Hot Water Loop to return water back to water heater

     TL4000D Sm - Med size home Flow 1-14 gpm / 16' head

TL5000D Large size home Flow 1-28 gpm / 30' head

 INSTALL TYPE         LOCATION

COMMON       Pump AT WATER HEATER drain spout (helps prevent sediment buildup at bottom of water heater)

Rotate pump head to achieve desired direction of flow into water heaters drain spout (specify direction when placing order we'll do it for you, to save you time)

Connect flanges and  temperature probe. (Unless relocating to last load on loop. RECOMMENDED for efficiency) to hot water loop

ALTERNATE     Pump ELSEWHERE ON LOOP (for efficiency install probe just after last hot water load)

EFFICIENCY-BASED ENGINEERING

Until now, closed-loop hot water circulation systems typically had a pump and thermostat installed at the water heater on the end of the hot water loop.  Often the last load on the loop is a good distance away from the water heater where the pump and thermostat are installed.  In these situations, energy is wasted by both pump and water heater delivering hot water beyond the last hot water load.  RedyTemp®'s unique design offers significant savings by strategically locating the stainless steel water contacting temperature probe at or near the last hot water load on the loop while still installing the pump at the water heater, or any other, preferred location on the loop.  Thereby, minimizing demand placed on the water heater, reducing pump cycle runtimes and extending the lifecycle of the system.   Unlike other systems which limit the owner in regards to installation, comfort temperature, activation method, convenience and the ability to reduce their carbon foot print.  RedyTemp®'s control features offer homeowner's the ability to optimize their system in a way that best fits their hot water lifestyle expectations.  Whatever the preference, be it hot water on-demand, scheduled, a combination of both or even continuous, RedyTemp® delivers the essentials required to optimize efficiency and one's lifestyle.
