 How Thermostatic By-Pass Valve hot water recirculators sacrifice comfort, efficiency and convenience.

The inability to control both hot and cold water comfort, the inefficiency of continuous running pumps, the inaccuracies from pipe clamp-on temperature sensors and the costly waste of energy from repeated siphoning water from the hot water line to name a few.   Our philosophy, the sooner hot water is received at your desired temperature, the sooner very cold city water stops filling your water heater--water that would go down the drain, wasted.  RedyTemp®'s temperature dial provides homeowners the means to control and optimize their home’s hot water convenience and comfort for maximum efficiency and savings.  

 

RedyTemp® monitors temperature using a "precision grade" stainless steel "water contacting" temperature probe. It consistently and accurately measures temperature, cycling the internal TACO pump, only as needed, maintaining water at the homeowners dialed-in temperature.  RedyTemp®'s unique space-industry engineered manifold achieves ‘positive bypass flow restriction’ using an integrated ‘normally closed’ solenoid valve for industry-record efficiency and savings.  This more efficient bypass valve prevents any water from siphoning out of the hot water line and into the cold water line during the homeowner’s use of cold water inside or outside of the home.  Inefficient ‘normally open’ thermostatic bypass/comfort valves remain open any time 95F or hotter water is not present in the line resulting in repeated, unnecessary and expensive demand on the water heater. This costly, inefficient siphoning occurs as a result of the imbalance in water pressures between the hot and cold water lines during cold water use. Higher pressure in the hot water line forces water into the cold line, even during the use of cold water only. This siphoned water is then replaced by cold city water entering the home’s water heater. With Inefficient hot water recirculators, every instance of cold water use, whether at the kitchen tap, the bathroom toilet, or the garden hose, results in extra demand on the water heater.
