RedyTemp® IntelliCirc Controller
Thermal Logic Controller for Greener Efficient Hot Water Circulation
GUARANTEED ENERGY SAVINGS*
Reduce Hot Water Circulation Energy Consumption and Carbon Footprint
compared to a traditional timer-based hot water circulators*
IntelliCirc Controllers effectively converts a hot water circulation system lacking green efficient control options to one with endless customization capabilities. Minimizes demand on the water heater and the pump in a number of energy saving system optimization features. Incorporating an IntelliCirc Controller provides the homeowner with a means of optimizing efficiency, temperature, readiness and even activation methods to meet any conceivable lifestyle. A majority of circulation systems installed today needlessly waste energy heating the ass-end of the circulation loop (piping between the water heater and the last hot water load on the loop). IntelliCirc's flexible installation solves this problem allowing the water contacting temperature probe to be located at or near the last hot water load on the loop. Thereby, instantly reducing pump cycle runtimes and demand on the water heater for years to come. Adding a IntelliCirc Controller to your system could easily save enough energy (depending on schedule / temperature set point) in the first year or sooner to pay for itself.
Install to enjoy greener efficient control capabilities;
Scheduled / timer based operational control
On-demand "as needed" activation capabilities
Simultaneous timer and on-demand when scheduled-off convenience
Temperature based "cyclic pumping"
Adjustable temperature control in 0.5F increment
Strategic Temperature Probe installation; deliver hot water up to the last load on loop instead of heating whole loop needlessly
Endless customized activation to fit any lifestyles; wired, wireless, occupancy or sensor based activation
And more . . .

Keyhole cutouts on back make mounting quick / easy

Install Existing Pump
Plug existing hot water circulation pump power cord into IntelliCirc Controllers POWER OUT TO PUMP socket.
Set existing hot water circulation pump to ALWAYS ON and MAX TEMP if options exist.
Controller / Temperature robe Installation
Set desired temperature to be maintained using the temperature adjustment dial.
Program digital timer to desired operating periods, if desired
Install temperature probe on circulation loop, prefer last load on loop too minimize pump cycles and water heater demand.
Mount on wall using keyhole cutouts on backside of control box.
Using supplied detachable power cord, plug cord into controller power inlet socket. Plug the other end into a grounded wall socket.
If desired, use standard phone cord wire (available at 99 cent stores) Cut off one end of phone cord. Strip insulation from two middle wires, connect to doorbell button or other momentary switch. Plug the opposite end of the phone cord into the RJ11 jack. Now, anytime the button is pressed the system will cycle the pump until the temperature is satisfied an stop.
SCENARIO #1
Bob's home has a closed loop hot water circulation system with a pump installed at the water near the drain spout. His gas bills have always been high and attributes it to the pump running non-stop around the clock. He enjoys the instant hot water but questions whether it's worth the extra $100+ dollars a month on his energy bill. Since he travel's travels a lot he's only home a few day's out of the week so a typical 24hr timer is not a solution. He'd also like to have the ability to temporarily lower the temperature so it's not scolding hot when grand kids visit.
HOT WATER
CIRCULATION PROBLEM SOLVED
Bob unplugs his existing pumps power cord from the wall and plugs
it into the
IntelliCirc Controllers power outlet control socket.
This gives the
IntelliCirc control over when his pump will run and
not run. Bob decides the extra effort of installing the temperature
probe at the last hot water load on the loop should be worth it
since it will prevent heating 75' of pipe each time the system is
energized. Bob, smiles knowing his efforts will chop how long the
pump runs, reduce the demand on his water heater and extend the
lifecycle of his overall system. Bob, reaches for the included
digital timer, almost laughing at how easy this install has been.
Bob programs the timer with the specific days of the week and the
hours of those day's which he will likely use hot water. Bob, feels
great knowing deep inside that what he's doing is good for the
environment, but more importantly he'll be putting more money in his
pocket from now. He knows the reduction in pump operations and water
heater demand will make his gas bill plummet from what it used to be
since he's just cut 72 hours + nighttime hours when he's sleeping,
off all future utility bills.
For additional conveniences view CONTROL / ACTIVATION and WIRELESS OPTIONS
Doorbell push-button / momentary contact switches at hot water usage point(s). Acquire standard phone cord of length required to reach controller from hot water usage point. Typically 99 cent stores sell 100' ft cords. After running phone cord plug one end into the controllers RJ11 socket located on the front of the controller. At the opposite end of the phone cord cut off the RJ11 connector at the end, strip and connect the two middle wires to the doorbell push-button contacts. Utilizing a 5-to-1 phone adapter makes connecting multiple phone cords simple. This can also be accomplished using X10 wireless controllers
This provides the user with not only a more efficient hot water circulation system but, the ability to activate / override the scheduled-off pump and operate the pump for a single cycle. A single cycle consist of the pump running until temperature matches temperature dial and then stops. The system will not run again until either the button is pressed again or the timer initiates scheduled-on operations.
